About Truckee Tahoe Swim Team

Truckee Tahoe Swim Team is a year-round competitive USA Swim Team and a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit swim club. We are guided by a board of directors that meets monthly to help shape the direction and vision of our team.

We are part of the Sierra Nevada Swimming Local Swimming Committee (LSC), under the umbrella of USA Swimming — the national governing body for the sport. Nestled at 6,000 feet in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, our location provides a unique training environment for swimmers.

All of our coaches, as certified members of USA Swimming, have access to the most comprehensive professional training and certification program for youth swimming coaches in the United States.

Coaching & Team Structure

We offer professional coaching for USA Age Group Swimming, welcoming swimmers from Novice to National levels of ability, ages roughly 5 to 18. Our team includes a wide range of athletes, from Junior National qualifiers and nationally ranked age groupers to swimmers competing at the regional championship level — all training together under a shared commitment to improvement and teamwork.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide every member, regardless of ability, an opportunity to grow both socially and athletically, without feeling lost or left behind.

Season Overview

Our annual swim season runs from September through the first week of August. Most of August serves as a team break and marks the official end of the season.
