2025–2026 Annual Meet Schedule

Note: Dates below follow our traditional schedule and will likely stay the same, but they will be confirmed about 4–6 months before each event.

All All-Level Swim Meets are open to every practice group: Levels 1–3, Senior, and National levels.

�� Fall / Winter Meets (Short Course – 25 yards)

October 17–19, 2025 – Moana Springs Pool, Reno, NV
November 7–9 or 14–16, 2025 – Sacramento area (TBD)
January 16–18, 2026 – Carson City Pool, Carson City, NV
February 6–8, 2026 – Minden Pool, Minden, NV
Last chance meet to qualify for Spring Sierra Champs (14 & Under)

These meets are perfect to gain experience and to start chasing your first Sierra Nevada Age Group Championship or JO time standard .

These are key season goals for all swimmers:

November 7–9, 2025 – Sierra SR Champs @ Folsom Aquatic Center, Folsom, CA
(Short Course; Sierra Senior times required)
January 30 – February 1, 2026 - Short course senior winter champs travel meet
March 6–8, 2026 – Sierra Nevada Age Group Champs (14 & Under) @ Sacramento Area (TBD)
(Short Course; JO times required)
July 16–19, 2026 – Sierra Nevada Championships (18 & Under) @ Sacramento Area (TBD)
(Long Course; JO times required)

�� Intersquad Meets @ Truckee

We plan to hold monthly intersquad meets at our Truckee pool — generally on a Thursday in the 3rd week of each month.
These are informal, fun meets (not official times) that help swimmers practice racing skills.

�� 2025–2026 Season Team Goals

✅ 60%+ of all swimmers attend every All-Level meet:
October, November, January, February, May, June, and July.

✅ 90%+ of all qualified swimmers attend the championship meets in November, March, and July.

Let’s get it done in the 2025–2026 season.

Welcome Swimmers & Families, Happy New Year!

Here we go into the winter and bring season of swim team. Here are some upcoming events and checklist to be current with swim team.

1.) 2025 USA Swimming Membership Registration: https://www.truckeeswim.com/register-usa-swimming All members need to be actively registered with USA Swimming. If you registered in the fall of 2024 your registration is good until 12/31/2025. If you haven’t registered for 2025 yet, please do so ASAP. It is essential that all members are registered swimmers of USA Swimming even at practice.

2.) Next meet is the Carson City Blizzard Blast January 17th – 19th. Team entries are closed, but you can still enter the meet until January 9th. https://ome.fastswims.com/meets PC-CARS Blizzard Blast.

3.) February 7th – 9th is our last ALL Levels meet of the short course season in Minden, NV. Douglas (Minden, NV) Meet for ALL LEVELS. Register for team entries through your team account: https://truckeeswim.captyn.com/ Team registration is from now through January 15th.

This is another ALL-Levels invitational meet to get some experience. Every level of the team can join if you are USA Swimming registered for 2025!

PC-DDST Valentines Day Age Group Open

4.) For the 14 Under swimmers on the team. The 2024-2025 Short Course Season wraps up with the 14 Under Championships for Sierra Nevada Swimming March 7 – 9 in Vacaville, CA. This is a qualification meet. Times are based on age groups and need to be achieved per event to enter. Here is the link for these time standards:

SWIM MEET SCHEDULE & 2025 USA SWIMMING REGISTRATION

Hi All,

Fall 2024 Truckee Tahoe Swim Team - Marlins swim meet schedule is as follows, and all events are ready for sign up by emailing cyrus@truckeeswim.org. I will be making group entries after the deadlines. If you miss a deadline you can sign up before the meet deadline on your own.

Fall 2024:

October 18 - 20: King of the Hill. All levels and ages of the team are welcome to email to enter this meet before September 20th. Please send in your day preferences if you plan on coming for part of the meet. This meet location has been changed to the NEW pool in Reno! It is now much closer to Truckee.
November 9- 11: Folsom Classic. All age groups with time standards are welcome to enter. Please look at the time standards before deciding to enter. Enter this meet by emailing about King of the Hill before October 22nd. Generally speaking it will be for our swimmers that have competed in at least 3 or more meets. The facility is an outdoor pool in Folsom, CA.
November 23-24: Fort Bragg Travel Meet. All levels and ages of the team are welcome to email to enter this meet before October 24th. This is a fun meet to take a road trip and travel to the north coast of California! The pool in the town of Fort Bragg is an indoor pool. The surrounding area is beautiful with great seafood. Accommodations are optional but the team has stayed at the Beach Inn hotel in the past. It is very nice. Coach Cyrus will be staying here this year. www.beachinn.com .

Winter 2024 - 2025:

January 17 - 19 in Carson City, NV. Sign up by December 19th before holidays. All Levels and Ages
January 31st - February 2nd. Woodland, CA Senior Winter Championships for Qualified Senior Team Swimmers. Senior team qualified swimmers.
February 7 - 9 in Minden, NV. Sign up as soon as we get back from break before January 9th. All levels and ages.

Spring 2025: TBA

Please remember that all swimmers need to be USA Swimming registered to practice and swim at meets. If you registered last year you will be valid through the end of December 2024, and you will need to renew for 2025. If you are new to the team you need to register ASAP and it will be valid through 12/31/2025.

We utilize 2 racing options. TTST and Sierra Marlins. The choice is yours, but I do suggest more competitive and older swimmers to race for the Marlins as this will offer a chance to meet new swimmers and enter relays at meets we join forces with the Folsom Branch.

Swimming Information for End of Season

TTST Swim team will be going on our annual break after our last swim clinic day of the month this Friday, July 26th.

Wednesday, July 24th: Breaststroke Clinic Day
Thursday, July 25th: Freestyle Clinic Day
Friday, July 26th: I.M. Clinic Day

Team break from July 27th until September 7th. It has been another great season, and I look forward to seeing everyone this September!

We are ready to receive registrations for the next swim year 2024 - 2025. All new and returning members will need to register.

2024 – 2025 Season Opening Dates:

9/8/2024: First practice for all groups at Donner Lake, West End Beach, from 3pm – 5pm. We will swim, play games, and enjoy the first day of team practice for the opening of our 2024 -2025 season.

9/9: First pool practices start:
National Senior @ 3pm
Pre-Senior @ 3:30pm
Regional to Novice @ 4:50pm

9/17: First open Board meeting of the season from 6pm at the pool.

9/26: Welcome meeting for all levels, marshmallows and pizza night at the pool from 6pm to finish.
