TTST Code of Conduct
Includes conduct in the water, on deck, in the locker rooms, in the parking lot, and at meets.
Refrain from any form of abuse, harassment, discrimination or bullying of others.
Be honest and fair with others.
Behave appropriately in terms of language, manner, temper and punctuality.
Be a positive role model and accept responsibility for your actions.
If you walk to the pool from school and are not swimming, call for a ride home.
If you arrive early for practice, read or do homework.
Horseplay is unacceptable. Consequence: Suspension for a period TBD by Coach.
Physical violence is unacceptable: If the physical violence is intentional, even if starting with words and escalating to physical violence (including self-defense), there will be a no tolerance policy.
Listen during announcements or directions given at practice, do not talk to people around you when being spoken to as a group.
Do not push people into the water. Consequence: Swimmer will be asked to leave practice.
Do not get in water until okayed by the coach.
Do not swim over people in front of you. Tap their feet to swim around them.
If your feet are tapped, move over to the lane line or stop at the turn so the other swimmer can pass.
Leave the wall 5 seconds behind the swimmer in front; fastest to slowest in a lane. When ending a swim, move over so the next swimmer can finish at the wall.
Respect property of others, including the High School’s and Recreation Department’s.
No hanging on the lane lines. Take all of your belongings home with you. Clean up your trash. Do not enter other’s lockers or swim bags. Do not litter paper towels or toilet tissue in the locker rooms.
Clean up all water bottles, kick boards, buoys, etc., after practice and stack away neatly in proper place.
